I have used the first edition of this book for years in replicating 1910s styles. It is an excellent step by step guide to drafting patterns for basic items of clothing from the 1910s and helps provide a very convincing silhouette.

If you want to learn patter

This early work on dressmaking is both expensive and hard to find in its first edition. It contains information on costume making, pattern design, skirts and much more. This is a fascinating work and is thoroughly recommended for anyone interested in the art of dressmaking.
